Frequently asked questions
About the light
What do the four light modes do?
GLOAM has four modes: Red (630 nm with 850 nm near-infrared), Blue (470 nm), Purple (410 nm with 850 nm) and White (465 nm with 850 nm). You choose one per session with the remote. The Science page explains how LED light and skin have been studied.
What is near-infrared light?
Near-infrared is light just beyond the red end of what our eyes can see. GLOAM's Red, Purple and White modes pair their visible light with 850 nm near-infrared, so you may see little or no glow from those LEDs. That's normal.
Is it UV light?
No. GLOAM's LEDs use visible light (410–630 nm) and near-infrared (850 nm). None of them emit ultraviolet light.
How many LEDs does the mask have?
256 LEDs, spread across the whole mask, with an opening for the eyes.
Battery and charging
How do I charge it, and how long does the battery last?
The 3.7 V, 1200 mAh battery detaches from the mask. A full charge lasts about 6–7 sessions. Charge it with the magnetic charging puck and a USB-C cable (both in the box) when it runs low; you don't need to charge before every session.
Orders and returns
Do you ship across India?
Yes, shipping is free across India.
What is your refund policy?
You can return the mask within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, as long as it is in good condition.
Where else can I buy GLOAM?
On Amazon.in, and directly from this website.

Using the mask
How long is each session?
10–15 minutes a day.
How do I keep the mask clean?
Wipe the inside of the mask with a wet wipe before each use.
Is there a cable while I wear it?
No. The battery detaches, so you charge it separately and wear the mask without a cable.
How often can I use it?
One session of 10–15 minutes a day. The mask has 3 timer settings, chosen on the remote. Follow the user manual in the box for your routine.
Is it safe to use?
GLOAM is a cosmetic device for external use at home, not a medical device. Don't use it on broken or irritated skin or over active skin conditions, keep it away from children, and stop using it and see a doctor if irritation occurs. If you're unsure whether it's right for you, ask your doctor first. See the full Safety information page.
Can I keep my eyes open?
The mask has an eye opening so you can wear it comfortably. Most people relax with their eyes closed during a session.
What is the mask made of?
Food-grade silicone: liquid silicone on the inside and solid silicone on the outside. It weighs 354 g including the remote control.
