Your first week with an LED mask

Guides · Published 5 November 2026

A simple plan for your first seven days with the GLOAM mask: before you start, your first session, building a daily habit, and when to stop.

Before your first session

  • Read the user manual in the box and our Safety information page.
  • Check the battery. If it's low, charge it with the magnetic charging puck and a USB-C cable.
  • Wipe the inside of the mask with a wet wipe.

Day 1: your first session

  • Put the mask on and adjust the straps so it sits comfortably.
  • Long-press the power button to switch it on.
  • Choose a mode and a timer setting on the remote.
  • Relax for 10–15 minutes. Most people keep their eyes closed and simply rest.

Days 2 to 7: make it a habit

One session a day is the routine. It's easier to keep going if it has a fixed place in your day, for example after dinner or before bed, as part of winding down.

If you like, keep a short note of the time and mode you used each day. It helps you settle into the routine that suits you.

What's normal

  • Some LEDs may look dim in Red, Purple and White modes: that's the near-infrared light, which our eyes can't see.
  • The battery lasts about 6–7 sessions per charge, so you won't need to charge it every day.

When to stop

Don't use the mask on broken or irritated skin, or over active skin conditions. If irritation occurs, stop using it and see a doctor. If you're unsure whether the mask is right for you, ask your doctor before you start.

What to expect

Everyone's skin and routine are different, and we don't promise particular results. The GLOAM mask is designed to fit into your evening as a calm, regular ritual.

The GLOAM Twilight Beauty Mask is a cosmetic device for at-home use, not a medical device. See How to use, Safety information and The science.
